Free Dial-UP - Windows 2000 Setup for Free Dialup Internet Access.

Below are the instructions on how to setup your Dial-Up networking to use the NetSector ISP

  • Switch on the computer and log in as the administrator.
  • When at the Windows 2000 desktop go to the Task Bar and select START, SETTINGS and then Network & Dial-up Connections
  • You will either get a window with the following text:
     
“Welcome to the Network Connection Wizard” select NEXT
Or
The Dial-up Networking Window, in which case Double click the “Make New Connection”
  • Now a window will ask for the phone number, type in the following phone number:


0845 665 3000

(Use 1470 at the beginning of the number above if your number is withheld)

  • Now select NEXT
  • Now select "For all users" and then NEXT
  • Now a window will ask for the connection name and modem. Change connection name to:


netsector

  • Now select FINISH
  • Now double click the netsector connection icon and you will be asked for the user name and password.
  • The USER NAME is netsector
  • There is no password or tipe netsector
  • Select DIAL to dial out
